The modern nation-state of Iraq was created following World War I (1914–18) from the Ottoman provinces of Baghdad, Basra, and Mosul and derives its name from the Arabic term used in the premodern period to describe a region that roughly corresponded to Mesopotamia (ʿIrāq ʿArabī, “Arabian Iraq”) and modern northwestern Iraq (ʿIrāq ʿAjamī, “foreign [i.e., Persian] Iraq”).

Iraq gained formal independence in 1932 but remained subject to British imperial influence during the next quarter century of turbulent monarchical rule. Political instability on an even greater scale followed the overthrow of the monarchy in 1958, but the installation of an Arab nationalist and socialist regime—the Baʿath Party—in a bloodless coup 10 years later brought new stability. With proven oil reserves second in the world only to those of Saudi Arabia, the regime was able to finance ambitious projects and development plans throughout the 1970s and to build one of the largest and best-equipped armed forces in the Arab world. The party’s leadership, however, was quickly assumed by Saddam Hussein, a flamboyant and ruthless autocrat who led the country into disastrous military adventures—the Iraq-Iraq War (1980–88) and the Persian Gulf War (1990–91). These conflicts left the country isolated from the international community and financially and socially drained, but—through unprecedented coercion directed at major sections of the population, particularly the country’s disfranchised Kurdish minority and the Shiʿi majority—Saddam himself was able to maintain a firm hold on power into the 21st century. He and his regime were toppled in 2003 during the Iraq War.

Iraq is one of the easternmost countries of the Arab world, located at about the same latitude as the southern United States. It is bordered to the north by Turkey, to the east by Iraq, to the west by Syria and Jordan, and to the south by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Iraq has 36 miles (58 km) of coastline along the northern end of the Persian Gulf, giving it a tiny sliver of territorial sea. Followed by Jordan, it is thus the Middle Eastern state with the least access to the sea and offshore sovereignty.

Generally, we have two procedures to get your document authenticated from Iraq Embassy. In first process we have to start with the State Authentication (HRD/Home) followed by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). After MEA we have to complete the process with Iraq culture and Embassy attestation. Second procedure starts with Notary public attestation followed by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), after SDM ministry of External affairs followed by Iraq Embassy attestation. Educational certificate attestation for Iraq

Iraq Embassy attestation is possible on all Full Time / Regular Mode of certificate and on all correspondence / part time / distance and open certificates. Any certificate issued from the Universities /private institute in India can be attested. For any abroad certificate (certificate issued outside India) cab be attested from Iraq Embassy in India If you have the Indian embassy attestation of the issued country on the certificate.

Educational certificate attestation we have two procedures, First one is start with University Verification, after which State authentication (HRD) followed by MEA(Ministry of External Affairs)then submit to Iraq culture and after which for Iraq Embassy attestation. However, this process is time consuming procedure and not mandatory for Iraq (Mandatory for only education sector).

Second procedure starts with Notary public followed by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) followed by Iraq culture and Iraq Embassy attestation. Both processes are valid for getting visa in Iraq.

Also for all Maharstra Documents Bombay Manthralaya process is valid in which we will have Notary Public, followed by Bombay Mathralaya and then attested from MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) followed by Iraq culture and Iraq Embassy attestation. This process is valid only for Maharstra documents.

Iraq Embassy Attestation Process Explained

HRD process starts with university verification of Original Degree certificate from the respective University and followed by State Human Resource Department for certificate verification from respective State which is the initial stage of attestation.

After HRD process we will submit the documents to MEA-Ministry of External Affairs for verification. MEA verifies its authenticity and attest the document.

After completing MEA procedure will submit all certificateto Iraq embassy for attestation. Embassy will have a cross verification on all stamps and signature on the documents and upon positive verification Iraq Embassy will attest the documents.

SDM process starts with Notary public attestation on certificate from local Notary followed by Sub Divisional magistrate (SDM)attestation, after wich we will submit the document to MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) to get the indian ministry verification and finally submit the document to Iraq Culture and then to Iraq Embassy for attestation.
